Waking up the UK
I am a 46 year old female with undiagnosed Asperger's (I believe)
This is the only place where I present myself as an Aspie. If I did it elsewhere in my life (without a diagnosis) It would not be accepted by others. Here in the UK people seem to think that only children have Asperger's and they can be compassionate toward children (sometimes). Any adult saying they have Asperger's (self diagnosed) would be viewed as making excuses for not trying hard enough in life.
So - focusing mostly on the word activism in this forums title - my question is - Is there anything I can do about this?
What would it take to make the UK wake up and see that some people have spent their whole lives trying to feel 'human' and not knowing how or why they couldn't quite achieve it?
It helps a little when you start to believe there's an actual reason for being the way you are. The next helpful thing would be for others (the humans!) to have an understanding of it.

Would you consider pursuing a diagnosis ? As fraught and complicated as that can be, given age, gender and access to UK expertise via NHS being focussed in a few key locations, it could help. The more people (esp adults often missed out) that are diagnosed, the more the health service/general public has to recognise we exist.
Not easy to self-advocate, as I know from personal experience , but it may be worth the effort. I think I need to talk to some support groups too, so I wish you well in your search!

Canada has the same problem, Autism Speaks want Lethal Vaccines and pill medications that can do more damage that some countries like Japan and Australia don't even allow this inhumane treatment, to say the least, it would be against human rights can result in protests,
Also it feeds the NT egos for Anonymous/4Chan/Encyclopaedia Dramatica, the ones who thjink of it as a joke is really a "Back-handed Racist", something that is not good in the long term.

Do we actually have any proof of this accusation at all?
