Oasis - Flashbax has a bit of it in my opinion, if I don't take the obvious example of someone who I think IS Aspie.

Lyrics:
I spend my time sitting on the fence with a mate of mine
Trying to write the line of a story
We belive that everything said is a waste of time
Cos life is well tried and it bores me
Yeah yeah yeah

In my well paid opinion
These things they really don't matter
But from my crystal gazing eye
There shines a light, like dynamite

Sitting on a throne will give a bad back to you
Living on my own was like a flashback
To the days when I was lost and lonely
Saying what I said was just a different story
All your lies well they still bore me
There's nothing wrong with my world
And these things they really don't matter now

I spend my time sitting on the fence with a mate of mine
I'm trying to write the line of a story
We belive that everything said is a waste of time
Cos life is well tried and it bores me
Yeah yeah yeah

In my well paid opinion
These things they really don't matter
But from my crystal gazing eye
There shines a light, like dynamite

Sitting on a throne will give a bad back to you
Living on my own was like a flashback
To the days when I was lost and lonely
Saying what I said was just a different story
All your lies well they still bore me
There's nothing wrong with my world
And these things they really don't matter
These things they really don't matter now

Oasis had really comforted me when I was a teenager. When I think about it, quite a few of the lyrics on Definitely Maybe (their 1994 debut) apply too.

Names(For Nameless Things) - Mo*Ho*Bish*O*Pi

I need to shut out the crowds,
I need to shut out the crowds,
When I'm writing down the words I sing,
And I'm thinking of name for nameless things.

And I won't cry when I fail,
And I won't duck cause I'm tall,
But you're always there when I'm lost for words,
Just thinking up more to finish the verse,
It's done.

And I can see through the glass,
And I can grin at the past,
The tune was right but the tempo was fast,
Its always the same he's built to last,
And I'm comfy right here,
Its not the day or night I fear,
It's merely the gold around your neck,
That separates us but what the heck.

Its all gone sour its all gone sore,
When you're thinking up names for nameless things,
That don't exist no more.

When you're thinking up names for nameless things

Its all gone sour its all gone sore,
When you're thinking up names for nameless things,
That don't exist no more.

The Smith's "How Soon Is Now" - maybe not directly about it, but about being socially awkward...

There's a club where you've got to go
You could meet somebody, who really loves you
So you go and you stand on your own
And you leave on your own
And you go home
And you cry
and you want to die...

Hurricane #1 - Step Into My World

We don’t live in the same world
We don’t live in the same world
I caught you looking’ in my world
As if you want to be my girl

I think we’re dreaming the same dream
I think we’re dreaming the same dream
I’ll let you look into my dream
If you show me your dream
Tell me what it means

[Chorus]:
I don’t wanna spend the rest of my days
Running around— chasing your shadow
So please don’t let this chance slip away
If you waste it this time I won’t be here tomorrow

If we get it together
It could last forever
If you got the time to try it
It could be a riot

We don’t want to live in the same world
We don’t want to live in the same world
But I could step in your world
If you could step into my world

[Chorus]

We don’t live in the same world.
We don’t live in the same world
Take a step into my world
Take a step into my world...

I'm not sure what that album's like...

But the album I feel is about *my* life, would be 'A Certain Trigger' by Maxïmo Park.

What about "Mariella" by Kate Nash? It's one of my favorite songs, and I can definitely relate.

Wow, I hadn't heard this one yet. Sounds like it was written about AS :)

And it's so much fun to listen to! It's like verbal jazz hands.
