Who wants to earn a 4-5K to help me build a cellular device?

Looking for a diligent specialist who wants to earn some fast cash and possibly residuals. Hit me up if you're interested!

I have to say, "cellular device" can be so many, many things. You might want to narrow down what exactly you want to create. Also, there are several challenges here. Are you going to sign a deal with a mobile carrier for service? Are you going to sell a patent? Is this a GPS based device? More details are necessary. Its slightly sketchy to have so few.

If you know how to build a cell phone, you will be helpful to this project, although it's not a cell phone. I have already worked out most of the logistics of this device. I need to make the prototype to get a patent to prove that my device works, which of course it absolutely does. I could take a course and learn to do what I need myself or I can save time and bring on someone who already knows. I run a completely different sort of business and I have 4 young children, so I prefer to skip the courses.

But that says nothing about it. And what type of cellphone building do you mean? There is the hardware, which ranges from old and obsolete to new and fancy, and then the firmware, which is essential for the cell phone or device to function. And then there are apps, but thats probably not what you want. I have seen people customise cell phone firmware. I'm not sure about hardware. Now, taking apart the internals and learning all about them....

Let's try a different tack...
Supposing someone gave you a fairly old, basic, monochrome LCD text-only cell phone from an anonymous manufacturer - but which was otherwise fully functional and included an active SIM card and a functional service provider account.
Would what you want to do be immediately applicable to that phone?

I am an Electrical Engineer. I specialize in control systems, and I have a couple of FCC licenses with endorsements. I have hacked, jailbroke, and modded more than one cellular device. My drafting and technical-writing skills are much in demand, as well.

Questions:

• Are you soliciting expertise as a private citizen or the owner of a corporate entity?
  
• Which cellular band will this device work in? What is the emission class?
  
• Is the modulation from voice or data? What power level (in dBm or watts) will your device operate at?
  
• Finally, is this device intended to violate, in any way, established FCC regulations for the emission of electromagnetic radiation?

I will not even consider working on a project that produces illegal devices. So unless you can assure me that you are operating well within the intent and scope of the law, you can forget about my participation.

Oh ... and a fiduciary prospectus would be useful, as well.
