Sometimes, I think I'm too strange and intense. I get carried away - Over enthusiastic. I think my ADHD pushes me. My autism causes me to withdraw. Sometimes, it's hard to know when to speak or not.

It's not easy anywhere for me. I suspect this is the same for so many others in their own unique way.

I'm embracing my unpopularity. I hope that everyone who feels unpopular knows that it just means you have your own unique place - One of a kind!

Twolf, that is a good positive message.
And I think it is good that you are aware of what may be causing you to be left out at times. For me I think it is my poor verbal abilities.

What does everyone here in the unpopular thread like to do for hobbies?

Sometimes I do robotics, sometimes read, or play Sudoku or solve my 5x5 rubics cube (vcube brand really). Sometimes I coach my son on projects (is that a hobby).

I love to create all kinds of art, although most recently I have been mostly crocheting. I love music and have a tongue drum that I wish I would play more often. I did play it today.

I mainly mess around on my computer (email, WP and weather/news/soccer) and drink alcohol. When I get into any deep discussions I tend to come unstuck as I end up contradicting myself and getting confused.

How is everyone here in the unpopular thread doing lately?

I wonder how I am on the popularity scale these days. People tend to hate old-fashioned people.

The way I see it, in order to conform to popular belief nowadays, (not that I cate about it myself) you either have to be super woke or super conservative.

I guess you could be popular with old fashioned values amongst those who share them. There's quite a few out there. But they could be hidden.

Social media polarization certainly makes it like that, especially in places which allow for convenient rudeness at the push of a button. Downvoting and blocking, those are the primary construction tools of echo chambers. At least on Wrong Planet, people have to use their words a slight bit more to be cruel to each other.
