All the jokes that I was cracking at the flea market today. I'm going to continue the tradition.

Actually, there was an application, I forgot its name, that can search the melody for you based on the record of your own voice, singing that melody. Even if it is a regular song with lyrics, but you can't remember a word of it or if it is in foreign language. That's how I managed to find one of the melodies I was trying to find for years. It was in Italian.

I think that would be "Shazam" - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shazam_(music_app)

It seems to have morphed into something much bigger over the years since it first appeared and it's not clear if it can still be used to identify your own voice singing the melody - "Shazam can identify songs playing around you or in other apps"

Oh, thank you! I didn't see your reply in time. I think it wasn't Shazam, I know I was humming a melody probably to Google..via Google search, but now I can't remember how I did it. But there are more online programmes, you don't even have to download them. All you have to do is to allow them to use your microphone and to sing, whistle or hum a melody.

Intrigued, I dug a little deeper - it was via Google!

Here's how:
* Open a Google search bar in your browser.
* Click or tap on the microphone icon to start a voice search.
* Hum, sing, or whistle the tune of the song you're trying to identify.
* Wait for Google to process the audio and analyze the melody.

I'd seen and ignored that microphone icon on the end of a Google search bar - now I know what can be done with it.

What did you sing :) ? This time it won't work for me via Google voice search, whatever I sang I got the message: ' It wasn't clear enough, try again." while 'Aha Music" recognized "Your love alone is not enough" I was humming to :).

The end of a video about autism made by a German woman on the spectrum where she mentioned that people have told her, "You're not autistic. You're just German."
