This fellow's beard seems to be a genuine chick magnet.

I had a few spells in high school where I never felt like shaving. Since I was the only person who could grow any actual excuse for facial hair in my sophomore and junior years, I got much more attention from the opposite sex.

Sadly beards do not impart wisdom on how to deal with attention from the opposite sex. But my beard made me look like the lead singer of the Editors!!

As for his beard, I see it all the time on IFC commercials - very nice.

And in high school, there was a substitute teacher who hadn't shaved for four years. Not as impressively full as Jack Passion's... but let's just say he would braid his beard and it would go all the way down to his knees. He said the last time a razor had been put to his face, it was by his girlfriend who then broke up with him.

That thing is a fire hazard, however it is also a thing of beauty and if I were a gay man I would totally suck his balls.

Personally I hate beards, they're so prickly and ugh XD My boyfriend has to shave everyday or else I inadvertently withdraw.
But then again, I can't speak for every girl out there.

Generally speaking, facial hair is an attribute of men, that distinquishes themselves from women, and hence, is a quality that is defined by their sex, so women tend to be attracted to them. Alas, the same way that today's society dictates that women MUST shave their pubic hair to appeal to men, today's image of a man is more that of a clean shaven one. That said, I would bet that if you showed the same image of a man to a random number of women, once freshly shaved, and one time with good old five o'clock shadow or even a designer stuble, they would go for the bearded one more that for the bald. Strong and shiny facial hair on a man not only suggests that it is a man after puberty - and hence, one capable of fathering offspring -, it is also a sign of good health.

I've heard a couple opinions that some look good with a beard, and I have been told that I look good with a beard. A couple of women have mentioned to me before they hate beards when it comes to certain favours

Rocking the beard but I keep it trimmed down to a stubble, I don't think I ever bother to shave completely and I prefer being hairy over shaven.

Plenty of women seem to dig beards 8)
I think it's more the younger ladies (late teens, undergrad age) that don't really like them.

Seeing that has made me consider what men with beards could insurge if world domination were in their sights. Looks like the Mona Lisa is making a feminist appearance for once. Random offbeat topic I must of just stumbled on.
