Communism isn't a murderous ideology. What is, is neglectful of human nature. In a perfect world Communism would be the perfect system, but unfortunately we aint in said perfect world.

The problem has to do with market complexity as well as human nature. In a competitive situation a free-market has the tendency to match production with demand in a complex but self-organizing way. Planned economies have a problem with production shortages. It's not just lack of motivation. There's a matching problem as well.

I don't think it's true that a society of collectively run cooperatives cannot function. The problem occurs when a central planner comes in and sets prices and quotas. That approach does tend to demotivate workers and lower production. People will cooperate but they also need some degree of autonomy and control to thrive. Even corporate managers know this and the smart ones encourage cooperative teamwork and limit the amount of micro-management.

Maybe if libertarians didn't require a decoder ring and a secret password to understand what they are saying, he wouldn't bug out on you all. :)

Where do you get this crap? Is there a conspiracy theory website that has this stuff readily available? Libertarians have a secret agenda to kill off all the weaklings in society. Big businesses have a monopoly over employment and will exploit weak job people without regard to their welfare. Technology companies intentially create buggy products to facilitate purchasing upgrades.

Does it also say on there that unions are run by organized crime? And that everyone on welfare is a lazy bum who just doesn't want to work?

You have extremist views and you are projecting extremism on other people.

It's a conspiracy to believe Microsoft exists? It's a conspiracy theory to believe 19th century Dickensian conditions were a result of exploitation? That this exploitation only ended when organized labor and government forced it to end? Hmmm...

You may not have an agenda to kill off "the weaklings in society" but that is the logical end result of your philosophy. They may not actually die but you can certainly make them miserable enough that they would rather be dead than alive. Currently it is not possible to survive on Chinese or Indian wages in the US. The libertarian position is that we need to lower wages to compete with the developing world. Peasants in the developing world can at least go back to farming the land or living in a shanty if they get fired from their factory jobs. There is no free place to squat in the US so our government must deal with the poor somehow.

No, but plenty of people on your side believe that and no doubt many of the people elected in congress believe it as well.

It is "extremist" to react emotionally and ridicule ridiculous and socially harmful ideas? You would have to classify someone who reacts angrily to the idea of eugenics as an "extremist" as well.

Also, you have no goddamned clue what my ideology is to claim it generates poverty.

I began as a democrat and moved further left to a Democratic Socialist. I am now a communist. I enjoy researching Marx's theories and discussing them on a leftist blog that I found a few months ago. I am currently in the process of starting a leftist club at my university. So, that's where I am right now.

Any others out there who like the theories or would like to know more about them?

I'm an anarchist / communist and since roughly a year ago I've been trying to actively do something with it. I've been to a few protests and meet-ups but despite the people there being some of the nicest and most understanding people I've ever met, it's quite daunting to go to such events where I hardly know anyone.
As for theories, I've read some but I'm finding it rather hard to get through them. I'm more interested in the practical parts it seems, despite the difficulties that come with that.

The real benchmark for a successful nation ought to be the wage of the average earner, not the overall GDP.

Scandanavian countries are far more appealing to live in than the United States. Both for economic reasons and reasons pertaining to political freedom.

The US is still on top in the OECD, well ahead of the Scandinavian countries, and it doesn't matter if you are using mean or median household income.

Actually it would be a monopspony meaning one buyer of labor. Also I am pretty sure the market for autistic labor does not clear. Also planned obsolescence has distributional effects on welfare if the goods are cheaper in the end in that it takes consumer surplus away from patient people. Although producer surplus is increased in the future.

That is a canard. One of the basic principles of the libertarian movement is the none-initiation of force and violence. Force and violence is proper only in self defense.
