I have suffered from intrusive thoughts for 4 to 5 years and over the time I have found ways to cope with them, so here are some of my strategies.

1. Listen to your favourite music
2. Draw or do something creative
3. Talk to your family members
4. Talk or hangout with your freinds
5. Go for a walk with your ipod or mp3 player playing music
6. And if you really need to talk to the crisis team or some 24hr mental health service
7. Write down whats going on in your head
8. Play your favourite video game but not violent video games something like Skate or the Tony Hawk games
