UK - Is Aspergers considered a disability by DWP?

A Disability is defined as “a physical or mental impairment which has a substantial and long term effect on the person’s ability to carry out normal day to day activities”

So who would consider Asperger's to be a disability, especially in relation to work.

Yes, AS generally is recognised, and the Work Capability Assessment form is allegedly better than the old system for taking account of the difficulties.
