Welcome! I think you'll like it here, as a lot of us feel the same way about the things you mentioned in your first post. I know I only got my drivers liscense so my parents would stop bitching about it :roll: .

As for writing, one of the best pieces of advice I can give is to re-read some of your favorite works but this time pay very close attention to the writing techniques and styles used. After you discern the styles of a few authors it becomes very simple to find your own. Once you've got that down it becomes very easy to let your ideas soar and evolve into excellent stories.
