I wouldn't consider myself a metalhead, but I do listen to it a lot.
My favourite band is Nevermore, a band that not many appear to know. But their latest album This Godless Endeavor (2005) pwns any other album. And Amon Amarth also had a really good release last year, With Oden On Our Side, I also listen to that a lot.
And of course the older albums, mainly Megadeth's Rust in Peace and Metallica's Master of Puppets, or the oldest, Black Sabbath s/t, I love em all

I prefer sludge-metal and stonermetal bands, such as Kyuss, Corrosion of Cnformity, Down, Gonga, and Fu Manchu over the average metal band. A lot of my favorite musicians are non-metal, however.

Once a metal head always a metal head. I am 39 and only listen to metal. I tend to like progressive metal the best. I saw Dimmu Borgir a few years ago and I was the oldest person there. It was an awesome concert, Vortex is the man.
