I hate myspace because I'll never get 300 or more friends on there. :(

(Am I allowed to even post in this forum? Oh well, I followed a link from the front page :D )

I *hate* Myspace too. I hate how it looks. Web pages made in 1996 with Netscape Navigator look better. Everything so gaudy and ugly, and videos and music popping up everywhere.

If I wanted to do a web page, I'd do a web page.

I hate how it's some sort of weird popularity contest, just like a virtual version of real life. I have as little idea what to do with it as I do going to a "party" in real life, and as little desire to be there. It seems like the same sort of thing to me. I just don't get the point of it.

I think MySpace in itself is a good idea; alot of the people just mess it up.

I had a myspace before. Every time I logged on there was a little box that said "You have 0 friends." I deleted my account because I was tired of getting the same s**t my parents give me from a damned website.

I think it's crap, but someone constantly pestered me to get one.

So I did.

I don't have many friends there, as I add only the people I know and like. 8)

I got one after being heckled to get one, but I dont see what the big deal is. Just seems too fake and "blinged out" for my tastes.

I've never had an interest in getting a MySpace. Reading this thread, I have even less interest. Simply put, it doesn't sound like the place for me.

I feel compelled to chime in about Bebo, and totally agree with Laura's comments about it. I just wanted to say that if you Google the first and last name of someone you know, and they have a Bebo, you will find it right away, guaranteed - as I have many times. So, clearly poor security, even easier for predators to get in touch with somebody.

I got rid of my MySpace a while a go, but I got another one so I could promote my podcast.
(I know, I know....)

I hate some of the people on myspace, but I have respect for whatever power runs the site.
I just use it to send messages...
