Aah, yes. America's hat, the baseball cap. What hat symbolizes Americana more than the baseball hat? The hat grew up on the ballfields of America's pastime, and now this hat is ubiquitous all around the world.

I have quite a few. I started collecting them in August 2005, on a trip to Philadelphia to this store named Mitchell and Ness, which specializes in retro sports wear (throwback jerseys, namely). I got myself the 1980s-era Baltimore Orioles cap (kinda like their current home cap, white front panel, black crown, orange bill with a cartoon bird) and my collection hasn't stopped since. I love wearing them. :) I also try and pair them with the appropriate jersey (I will talk about those in the future) when I can, but I just like how the baseball cap is one of my favorite pieces of headwear. :)

a backwards cap has been a permanent fixture on my head for some years now

hate that snapbacks are in style again, been hard to find nice fitted stuff. Wish they weren't so expensive.

I've got one, I wear it whenever I take visitors around our local synagogue but apart from that it stays in the car.

Not a hat person, I like the sun on my face.

I think baseball is a boring game and I would not want to wear one of those hats because they get too sweaty.

^ Well, with some of mine in my collection, the polyester-made ones will stay dry to the touch. Believe me, I know.

My oldest son always wears a hat. He has a fitted one that was originally white and is off white now with his initial on the front. He has a fish hook stuck on the brim and he wears it backwards. My younger son has several as well but he usually wears either a rasta hat I made him or a jesters hat in rasta colors that I made him.

I have one. It's a Team GB one, I got it at the Paralympic games in London. I only wear one when I go on holiday somewhere hot. I quite like them but it's not sunny enough to wear one here.
