Feeling depressed. We lost our 5-year old cat Tommy a few days ago, and its likely has has been eaten... I consider my cats to be my children and losing one of them this way is very upsetting. I like cats better than I like most people. Sigh.

It will be one day that my turtles are too big and need to be released. (illegally) I will miss them and their cute antics.

I'll borrow something from CockneyRebel: Image

I also love cats over people but don't understand what you posted.
Is your cat missing/lost? Why is it likely eaten if no one knows this for certain?

Sorry to be ambiguous. We are in the process of moving from our home in New Mexico back to the east coast and are living in our RV. My cat got out and the area is heavily infested with coyotes. We heard something being attacked the night he got out and have not been able to find him. I am going to assume they ate him, and this would not be the first cat we have lost this way. Really is a terrible thing.

The death of a beloved being is always very hard but the way you lost him is really horrible. I'm very sorry for your loss. That's one of the reasons why I'm hesitant about having a pet. I'm quite a friendless person. If I get attached to a pet, I'd be badly devastated when I lose it.

I wonder what coyotes are like. Are they like wolves? I'm a bit worried about your own safety and your other pets'. Do they attack human beings, too?
