I have accepted myself and I have learned just about everything I could here.

I will be honest my ASD is a super giant pain in my backside no amount of chatting about it is ever going to change that.

Getting to understand myself has helped me but I do also realise I have very real limitations.

We are what we are and all we can do is out best and if that is not good enough we should try not to go on a guilt trip. :)

But you could still talk about yourself, and teach others about how to live with ASDs. No guilt trip at all.

How's everything going?

Everything is going fine.

As regards helping others that is the only motivation to maintain a link here.

I have been burned out with the autism subject we are people.

I function better then I use to but not as well as I would like to but that is what I mean by saying I have accepted myself.

I will stick around and help out where I think my advice might be useful.

However I have had enough of picking apart every part of my autism.

I am reaching that point.

We ARE people first. We are more than our autism.

I've stopped posting for a while for a similar reason. The topics were also getting less relevant to me as time went on. I've started posting again when I've started to find threads that I can add to.

I grew to feel that way about the ataxia (neuro disease) forum I used to post on. It seemed like people asked the same questions over and over and most people were either negative about it or unrealistic. Eventually I just checked on it a couple times a year until it disbanded. Obviously it wasn't the huge site that WP is.

I do regret withdrawing my voice from that forum because I have experience with ataxia rehab that could help others and now they don't hear about that because I don't talk about it.

Glad you are doing well.

Being Autistic some repetitive topics don't bother me :D

I am close to burnt out on researching the condition and stuff as well. I don't know if I would be diagnosed if I went to get one professionally.

But I enjoy reading the many topics on this site. Well, I don't like to read a bunch of negative complaining that is not constructive. If people are giving advice and accepting it, then that's OK. But if people get on and merely complain about their problems, and are contrary to other people helping, then I leave those threads alone.

Helping and encouraging others seems to be the only point of being on here, practically speaking. That is what I hope to do, although realizing that I'm not a guru, or perfect by any means.

But I also enjoy the informational posts, sharing of scientific facts, sharing of music, art, writing, philosophical discussions (even though I generally don't agree with most of what is said on the philosophy/religious threads, I still find it interesting to read).

I like seeing the results of autistic thinking in those regards. And I can relate to a lot of people here.
Besides, I think autistic people are such cuties!
A nice big rob0t hug to everyone here today!

Well, I got to get a haircut, and apply to Boeing now, so T'seeya!
