Not that it's cheap over here - a drinkable bottle of wine costs around £4, but the last time I was in Italy one could get a decent bottle for around £1.50, and in Spain even less than that. I've had three bottles of beer tonight, and I'm disappointingly sober.

According to a currency calculator I think the cheapest bottle of red wine you can get here is around 10 British pounds.

^ Aaaaaarrrrghh! Unbelievable!

Your government must be taking around 90% of the price in tax. With that and the oil revenues going into the Sovereign Wealth Fund, they could probably pay every citizen a small fortune.

 Enough to afford the price of alcohol, in fact. Mmmmm, think I'm beginning to get it now....

^Yes, I don't complain at all even though I'm on welfare (social security might be the right word) Of course my lack of a social life also is a big factor.

Many do complain though, and that is horrible. In my eyes they have NO right to complain.

(I believe that was enough bragging from me today 8) )

I've been thinking about you a lot, Kura.
Did you know negative self talk, self sabotage and self loathing is an addiction?

Also, I think I've been a lousy friend to you and I only just realised it.
I would like to apologise for that, and I will improve.

Wait, really? 8O *suddenly starts yelling in Cap Locks* WOW, THAT EXPLAINS A LOT! IT'S BEEN GOING ON FOR YEARS, SO NO WONDER IT'S SO HARD FOR ME TO STOP.

*in normal voice* No, you're not remotely lousy. You're a dear friend, a 'nakama'. [That's one of the trickiest Japanese words to translate; it goes beyond both friend and comrade, and the closest description I can find is 'true companions' or 'those with a link, a bond'.]

Hello to everyone else.

I have even more exciting news. I'm making my own tv show! :jester:  :ninja: :nerdy: :star: :alien: :study: :colors:
Just based on these emojis, can anyone guess what it's about? :P

^Yes, it is!

I've made a 'No' list, of all the sci-fi cliches that will most certainly not be in the show. :P

Hello!
Thought everyone had been banned, or something.

I've been up and down.
Had a great session yesterday on the science - chemistry and the brain.
A lightbulb moment.
Today I'm not feeling great physically.

Yeah sorry, was talking to a genius on FB, 170+ IQ.. The spectrum came up in discussion and mentioned i was on it, he said i didnt look it.. ( one of those face palm moments!) so was filling him in a little which seemed to change is perspective totally...
Yeah, finally got to sleep after about 40 hours... Brain was in overdrive, but got there in the end...
Good to hear you are getting some new perspectives! ;) mind, brain, biology, chemistry is rather fascinating when looking at oneself! Glad you have had a few light bulb moments, no doubt for the better! :) Good to hear from you :) ( racheypie quietly vomits in corner! haha)
