So today I was walking past my local Starbucks in town and an old associate of mine said to me "hi James". My old friend is gay and opened up to me about fancying me a year at my local bar. As he said hi to me this girl sitting opposite him (she flirted with me and confessed to fancying me a little over 2 years ago) just sat there looking blankly into space not even making eye contact with me.

Judging by her behaviour today what do you reckon her attitude towards me is these days. I last properly spoke to her in January 2014.

It's nothing, she just said Hi to a familiar face.

Nothing less nothing more.

Her being aloof made me sad given how warm she was to me years ago

Maybe she's having a bad day. Maybe she is involved with someone else now, maybe she is mad that you didn't ask her out before, lots of possibilities.

Maybe she didn't want to interrupt your conversation.

Time will make people aloof. That is what I have noticed even with people I used to be really good friends with. Spend some time apart and its like you are strangers again when you meet up and have to start all over.

So why do you care? You are not friends either.

You said she confessed to you before, what happened? Did you reject her? Her hurt feelings could be the cause, she could be jealous, or maybe she could care less.

My question is, what are your feelings for her? I think you must like her a little, if you are asking strangers for advice about her online. If you do, it wouldn't hurt to tell her, especially if you are no longer close, and considering she already admitted to liking you once before.

You should write a song about it called Girl At Starbucks.

It's gonna be a hit!

Ah, the stereotypical "girl at Starbucks"!
Forget her, she's not into you anymore.
