Were these girls making fun of me?

I'm 16, and a guy, and when I was at my Turkish cultural center, there was this girl named melike and her friend (let's call her girl a) was shouting at me, saying, "Melike wants to talk to you!! !" and she was telling melike to say what she wanted to say, and melike was trying to shush her, and eventually i had a conversation with them.... my dad said they were probably making fun of me.... considering the religiosity of the people and my reputation... although, melike just moved to the united states, so I doubt it... what do you think?

Melike probably liked you.

Really, you think so? But later, I made an awkward joke about them calling me because they like my beard.... then, they looked uncomfortable, and we talked a little more, and then girl b (melike's other friend, who doesn't like me) said she wanted to talk in private, and later she made up the lame excuse that they cant talk to me because of religious parents..... do you think i ruined it?
