Heh, I've had three black cats at once before and they cross my path all the time! Also, on the way to my neighborhood, there's this one black cat running lose and it always crosses the street right in front of us as we're going through. I guess it knows my mom will either slow down or stop for it. Smart cat.

Did you know that the thirteenth is more likely to be a Friday than any other day?

What's so bad about Friday the thirteenth? I always thought Monday was the day that sucked. :P

I don't believe in that bad luck crap at all. Tomorrow I'm flying in a helicopter for the first time and I'm not worried about it at all despite the fact that it will be Friday the 13th!

The funny thing is, when we feel that something bad is going to happen, we are more prone to it happening because our worrying puts us in a state where we're more likely to cause the bad things to happen! (slow reaction time, bad hand co-ordination, etc...)

I believe it was because it was a Norse festival that the Church wanted to villify.... Oh, and the Knights Templar apparently got done in on a Friday the 13th...

I'm not superstitious, either. I love black cats (I love ALL cats!) and, if something goes wrong, I have a built in excuse. I can say, "Oh, it's Friday the 13th). (Rather than saying, "Oh, I'm a klutz," if I slip and fall).
