Maybe it has to do more with people on food stamps, actually know how it works vs someone who hasn't had to rely on a program like that due to being unable to afford adequate food and is just attempting to demonize the poor. And what was your point exactly?

My post with Carter was not about his political career,but him as a Christian.He does seem to practice what he preaches.Unlike some that claim how important Christianity is to them,but they are hypocrites and don't follow the words of their leader.The great socialist Jesus,who fed the poor,provided free medical care and hung out with the homeless,nice dude.
Of course I'm not born again,I haven't died yet.Then I will be born again,numerous times.
I know the Bible becuse I was raised in the Bible Belt.Ive read it,along with other spiritual books.My favorite verse is where Jesus gets called a glutton and a wine bibber.

Maybe so but I think most think of him as an ineffective former president. Maybe the same could be said for that bumbling idiot Johnson who got us mired in a long war with no intention of winning it and cost the democratic party the loss of the south.

I know, right? Trump isn't even conservative, not that you'd know by the liberal reaction to him. I'm always amazed at that ability to get halfway there; liberals tell conservatives Trump is playing them, then don't finish the thought with 'so he's not actually what he's presenting himself as'. Cruz, we know exactly what he'd do, Trump might actually govern pretty liberally, which leads me to suspect that the real issue is that they'd be embarrassed to have such a loud, boorish, American representing the country. Personally, that's half the appeal, I want him to pick Guy Fieri off the food channel as his running mate just so we can send them to Europe for the lulz; we could call it the worst hair in the world tour.
