why does the right wing dislike USPS?

A: Because it works.

Seriously, that it works so good (and it really does) indicates to them that it would be profitable if it were a corporation, so they want to privatize it. They've done everything they can to undermine it & run it into the red so that they can say, "a private company could do it faster, cheaper and more reliably".

They've forced it to fully fund all retirements out 75 years.

They've sold off all the best real estate, which means post offices and distribution centers in the middle of population areas - now they have to rely on ones on the outskirts to cover the same area.

Also, I think they just don't like an example that most people have contact with of government working as it should.

You've explained it well. The truth is no other entity has to bank 75 years of retirement. Remember, these monies include people who haven't even been born yet. They want to bankrupt the USPS to privatize it. Good luck with that...

Private Carriers could deliver first class mass (sealed mail in envelope) for $0.25. The problem is only people living in dense areas could receive this benefit. The cost of private delivery to the Boonies would be higher. So the U.S.P.S charges everyone $0.50 for a first class delivery, twice as much as private carriers could. Private carriers could probably manage two deliveries a day. There was a time very long ago, when there were three deliveries a day made by the U.S. mail. And you say U.S.P.S. works????

You really think they would charge a quarter. You've drunk the Kool-Aid...

In this day, no private company would get into first class mail delivery at any price.
