Buttocks are sort of shaped like two "u's"---the "true double-U!"

Why do people call "w" a double u? It's a double v.

Because "v" used to be "u" in English writing until the 1600s, and maybe even the 1700's sometimes.

W.

Ze French, zey call it double-v. Dooobluh-vay. Ze Germans, zey call it "fau", like fowl without the L. A WV is a fau-vay.

Two "u"s, in French, would be ooh ooh. Sounds about right for this discussion. (Toddles off, giggling)

They eat "steak and frites."

I don't know about French Toast.

A considerable amount of "Chinese food" is actually an Americanized version of it.

Why do we always use a heart as a symbol for love? What's wrong with a kidney or even a spleen?
