Yes, these old Wigan council flats take a fair bit of heating. My leccy bill is £150 a month so try to wrap up warm to keep costs down.

Yes, but I don't use them as they're pretty useless. Just use a portable convector heater as it works out cheaper.

I only heat two rooms of my house. I use a gas fire in the downstairs living room and a portable electric fan heater in my small upstairs TV room. I don't heat the bedroom or kitchen. The combined gas and electric bill is £118 per month. My gas central heating system is 34 years old and I haven't used it for at least eight years. It was last serviced about 20 years ago.
