I'm hoping he won't be our President at all.

Unfortunately, we've got some Trump supporters in our ranks at church (or at least Clinton haters), I think, so I'm afraid such a prayer is unlikely.

Our American system is strong as steel; we have survived much worse.

I don't see Trump even lasting into November, anyway.

I pray that your optimism has legs and swinging fists and can save us in November from a horrible fate. :skull:

Ledgers show $12.7 million in undisclosed cash payments designated for Paul Manafort, the campaign manager for Donald J. Trump, from a pro-Russian political party from 2007 to 2012.

Wow.

it seems that for the supporters of this man, he can do no wrong. he is 100% their panacea. they see utopia upon his election.

Wow.

But will his supporters even care? Or even follow what that means?

Who cares about his supporters? He has a loyal following but he will never win the general public with such blatant corruption in his midst. Manafort has to quit.

...and he did resign, but not as much about this issue as the fact he really couldn't manage a flashy, titanic ego... and until that imbecile released his financial information he may very well have invested in Russia too, although I bet he personally likes Putin for creating a country the mindless ego wants to mould the US in the shape of.

I suspect that hiring Manafort in the first place was more of Putin's idea than Trump's, as Manafort is essentially Putin's American fixer, and so can guide Trump into which ever direction Putin wishes. If true, then I suspect Manafort might be officially gone, but is still unofficially providing guidance via Putin from the shadows.
