Hi my name is Emily.

I'm 25 years old and recently came to terms that I'm on the spectrum and currently working on getting an official diagnosis. I've lurked around the forums for awhile and now finally got the courage to sign up and interact.

I'll tell a bit more about myself. I live in Tennessee and attend community college though I graduated there over a year ago I'm still taking classes there to go toward a four year degree one day and I still live at home with my parents as well. My interests include photography, history, and geography I love reading maps. One more thing I am transgender (male to female) I'm not on hormones yet but I have been socially transitioning for over a year now.

If anybody wishes to ask questions feel free to do so I'll try to answer as best I can.

Hope to meet new people on here and hope to get advice with the challenges of life I've been facing and will face in the future.

For history I mainly like U.S. History from the Civil War to the present day. Geography I generally love studying about different locations and being able to locate them on a map even though I love history I enjoy Geography just a bit more

Welcome, fellow geography aficionado!

Have you ever used GIS (Geographic Information Systems)? It's a good field to get into, once you find work.

Heya

I've never tried GIS I thought it was one those things that requires math and computer science (two skills I'm not good at).

You do have to know trig, but it doesn't require calculus. As for computer science, you mostly have to know databases (preferably Oracle and SQL), and basic programming (you'd probably be taking Python or Java).
