...and installed Tinder.

I've always been iffy about online dating. There's just something about the idea that put me off for the longest time. Funnily enough, I used a dating site (not Tinder) very briefly, but alas, it didn't work as expected. Then again, the extent of my use of it was creating the profile and then sitting idly by while I waited for girls to send messages my way.

You can probably guess how that turned out.

But, after at least year of resisting the urge to give it another go, I ended up saying "screw it" and installing Tinder. Was it a good idea? I don't know yet, but hopefully through this, I can finally prove to myself that I'm worthy of someone.

Wish me luck.

I wish I knew. But then again, I suppose I'll find that out. :P

People say Tinder is used for hookups, but in my experience I see way more girls saying they're looking for "something real" and to swipe left if all you want is sex. It's been about as effective as any other dating site for me-- as in, I swipe right on pretty much everyone, and I'm lucky if I get one match a week that isn't a spam bot. And then they get pulled into an alternate universe, and every trace of their existence is wiped away.

It's kinda weird how often that happens to girls who talk to me...

And my first match was a spambot.

Good start.
