Has anyone heard of any programs or software that will help teenagers with ASD learn how to drive? Anyone ever tried them?

I'm working on a team of researchers who are developing driving simulation software made specifically for people on the autism spectrum. It works a lot like a drive game (with a steering wheel and everything), but it teaches teenagers with ASD how to drive safety.

Would anyone here be interested in a product like that? Or are we wasting our time?

Yes, I currently don't drive, but I would be interested in software like this and I'll gladly accept any recommendations from people on here, but I don't know if it should/would necessarily be any different for ASD students or adults than neuro-typicals. Maybe they might need some extra help, but it's more of a matter of time than teaching method, isn't it?

You will need special hardware to simulate the input brain receives when driving. Similar hardware is used when training racer car drivers.

I don't think it will be cheaper nor more effective than a personal trainer in a real training car.
