Hi everyone,

Is there a link with NLD and sequencing difficulties? Ever since I was a little girl I've always had problems with taking in verbal instructions especially but also lots of information information.... and i jist cant seem to learning things. Like for example, I cannot remember much of what I am learning from work and my supervisors are getting annoyed with me, even being shown things over and over again doesn't always help, i just dont rwmember things in the work place. Another symptom i think is being unable to see objects which are in a cupboard or busy nvironment.

Thanks guys

Xxx

I don't have NVLD, but I have difficulty remembering verbal instruction- if someone tells me to do more than one thing, I just forget everything they say. I have also read that not being able to locate objects is a form of sensory/processing impairment. My brother (who is most likely autistic) can never locate any object when there are other objects around it. His brain gets too overwhelmed with the amount of information he has to process. Have you tried writing it down or making a visual/diagram? That seems to help some people with processing difficulties. I hope you can figure something out :D .

Does it happen only when people tell you things? Or with written information as well? Try to get work instructions written down and keep the paper with you when you need to remember the steps for those tasks. Keep paper and pen/pencil with you at work so you can write things down when people tell you.
