Last year, I dressed up as the mom (and coach) of Denis Istomin, Klaudiya Istomina. I dressed in a tennis sweatsuit, carried a racquet and had pictures of Denis and his mom. I might be a cat this year, but I don't know yet.

Yeah, it was my favorite holiday as a kid.
I loved trick or treating, and my mom always made mulled apple cider and gooey chocolate cookies.
The costumes were always fun- we always made our own.

Now, I have parties with my friends and we buy our own candy.

The first we actually were in our backyard and told ghost stories around a campfire. We still think we saw actual ghosts.
This year it's probably going to be a movie marathon.

Nope and thankfully no one came to my door last year... I'm not sure any kids live in my building.

When I was a kid, my family had a Halloween party, we all meet at my childhood house & go trick or treating, my mom had a decoration drawer, she had two drawers, I loved putting up decorations. We celebrated Easter too, all my cousins & half aunt & uncle were kids too. The thing I hated was my mom dressed me & my sister like twins in the 70s. One time, there was this very big house, I thought it was a haunted house.

I do. Some areas in town go all out. I like looking at them in Halloween shops too. Fun stuff. To me Halloween lasts the entire month of October. This October will have a Friday 13th. All the leaves are changing and blowing around. Obweavers are huge and have giant webs that the morning dew paints white. It's foggy. It's the Festival of Samhain. Witch's Sabbath. It's a mystical, magical, spooky time.

I enjoy Halloween. I like dressing up and walking around before the kids come out to Trick or Treat. I plan to be a Pea Whisperer this year. I'll get all dressed up in pea green and carry my giant Om Nom with me.

On Saturday I bought a small emoji plushie that looks like this 8O for only $1.99. Yesterday I used red fabric paint to make it look like blood is dripping down its face, and white paint to make X's over the eye pupils to make it look like it just died a terrible yet comical death.
Actually, it looks pretty macabre. But it's for Halloween, so it's supposed to be!

When I buy a pumpkin this year, I will give it a nice big evil grin with pointy teeth, then put the emoji plushie in its mouth to make it look like it's being devoured by the jack o lantern. And of course I'll have to take a picture. I wonder if the pumpkin will end up on the news or in the paper if I display it on my doorstep? :D

I'm going as a pilot for the second year in a row. But I hate parties so I won't be going to any costume parties. I actually have a real pilot uniform I purchased off the internet. Most expensive Halloween costume ever.
