I don't have anything against the celebrities themselves. My problem lies with the people who are making them celebrities. That is, all the regular folks who see them as if they were something more. Pays more attention to them than their politicians, trust them more than they trust the newspaper and treat them like modern gods.
They are what created the monster.

how did you manage to do that? must have taken a lot of time and energy i reckon?

but in all seriousness i also am annoyed at how often people give attention to vapid rich folk instead of things that matter more....whatever that's defined as.


celebrities don't make themselves famous, the attention of others does.

blue eyed mugshot man comes to mind.

The celebrities I despise the most are those who will do anything for their 15 minutes of fame. For example, going on reality shows and acting a complete moron.

Lots of em are like that OP but not all. I have a mega huge crush obsession with the iCarly star, Miranda Cosgrove & the reason I like her is because she isn't like that. She's ALOT more real & wholesome than most of the other celebs. I tend to dislike celebs in general & the way people try to emulate them & become trashy. I never tried to emulate Miranda & I'm sure she would tell others to be themselves.

I'm indifferent to them. I recognize some as good actors that give enjoyable performances, but that's about it.

But most I don't even know the names of. Game of Thrones is a favorite show of mine with some favorite characters. But I don't think I know the name of a single actor in it.

With the constant privacy invasion from the scumbag stalkerazzi and criminally insane fans, it's no wonder so many of them become drug addicts or lapse into mental illness.
