Hello all,

I have an unwanted obsession at the moment about a song that I disagree with. The tune sounds good, but I disagree with the lyrics.

What do people here do about unwanted obsessions? Is there anything to be done?

Any thoughts?

Any thoughts on this? Anyone?

Try searching online for an acoustic "cover" version of the song. Or, find a version which has different lyrics. A few songs have been re-written.

You could also try to write your own lyrics and sing them to yourself or in your head.

Was gonna say that you could make up your own parody lyrics to the song.

And just listen to your parody version in your head.

Or, if the song is some hit song on the radio, you could make a public statement, like write a letter to the editor of newspaper, or make a post on a social website like this one, to vent about how "I love the melody, but hate the words, of this gosh darn song on the radio!".

+1 Great idea!
Being able to hear it the way you want can help calm your mind.
