It seems as though I am the only one with autism (especially HFA or Aspie, where I'm HFA) who has never had a seizure.
Is there anyone else?

I had petit mal seizures until I was 10.

Had two tonic-clonic seizures at ages 11 and 12 and simple partial seizures for the next six years until I had a left temporal amygdalahippocampectomy at age 18.

I'm a diagnosed Aspie, and I have experienced grand mal seizures, off-and-on, my entire life. I have heard they can run in the family----and, that is true with my family----as well as migraines (which I have, too), and I have read that there might be a correlation between seizures and migraines.

I’ve never had a seizure.

I looked up the petit mal seizure, and it says that symptoms include eyelid fluttering, lip smacking, staring into space, or chewing motions.

Not too often, my eyes will start burning and I have to shut my eyelids pretty hard and keep em closed for about 5 seconds. And I keep biting/smacking my lips when I'm anxious. Now my eyelids are fluttering. And sometimes I stare into space, and I am just so into staring that I don't get up.

Should I be worried?

I'm epileptic. I have to take tablets every day so that I don't get them.

They always happen when I'm sleeping, normally early in the morning. The worst ones are the ones I can feel are coming. Sometimes I just go "ohshitohshitohshitohshit" before it kicks in.
