For the past 5 years around the middle of the year I get sick or debilitated by some health issue.
Last year I got a serious stomach issue and then a chest infection,
End up losing all my fitness and becoming a couch potato

Previous years include chikungaya virus and worse.
Now last week my back starts to have disc problems.
I enjoy cycling for exercise and keeping y weight and blood pressure down.

I am sick and tired of this jinx.

I know how that is. Sometimes you do everything right and get sick anyway.

I see your age is 47. Guess what? After 40, things going wrong with your body is to be expected. The astonishing thing is you begin to have diagnoses that you never knew existed. And they do just seem to pile on, even if you do everything right.

In the past 15 years, I have had six surgeries, and my medical chart is inches thick. This despite the fact that I try to take pretty good care of myself.

What I try to do to cope with these nasty little surprises, is to roll with the punches. When a serious issue comes up, cut back on what you are trying to do, eliminate any extra responsibilities, get some social support (ride to doctor's office, visits in hospital, feeding your cats for you, etc.), and rest a lot.
