that in dark city the actor who played emma was the same as who played the girl in requiem for a dream. I realized this during the last scene on the dock.... for reasons that people who've seen requiem for a dream may understand.

I've wanted to see "reqiuem for a dream" for ages. Maybe someday I'll got the DVD.

I have seen 'Requiem for a Dream' [got the DVD] but not seen 'Dark City'. So I personally don't see the signification of your post. I would recommend anyone to watch 'Requiem for a Dream', it’s no cheesy Hollywood movie.

Well you know in Requiem for a dream how there was those scenes where marian was standing on the dock and the main character was walking towards her? Eventually falling off the dock? Well in the last scene in dark city, the actor for marian was standing at the end of a dock, and murdoc(dark city's main character) walked up to her, and walked to the end city with her.
