Or they don't understand a different perspective.
Very true, that's a common trait of the sort of hyper-partisan posters I was alluding to, their belief is so strong that they treat any deviation from it as being only possible through bad faith or ill intent. It's actually very similar to religion in that way, not that anyone wants to admit that.

Agreed.
Initially, I was shocked by this intolerance.
Now the place wouldn't be the same if it wasn't there.
I have had a couple aspie friends ask me why do aspies like drama so much. I told them it may have to do with not understanding a different view point and everyone is bickering trying to make each other get it and then they get frustrated because neither of them understand a different perspective. I don't think it's a matter of aspies liking drama.
And I have seen some aspies online who won't bother getting into any arguments because they just assume the other person is too stupid to get it or understand so they don't even bother. I think that is also typical aspie thinking there.

I used to think that also.
After decades of socialising with various autistic communities, I now realise it isn't only NTs who can be "Drama Queens".
I used to also think the term "autistic bullies" was an oxymoron.
I'm convinced there are people online that like to look for things to get offended over and I have even seen some women admit it over at babycenter by saying it's better to take it out online than on their husband and kids when they have had a hard day at work. Yes I lot pregnant women there loved drama and it got tiring and old so I left that website. It was impossible to make any comment without someone getting angry about it and it was impossible to post a thread without women getting angry they turn into bullies.
