Had a couple beers at a pub a friend works at last night. I only paid for one.. 14 ounce beer with a tip $10.38. That's why I almost Never go to bars At All Ever Ever Ever as that's become the normal price for a fairly typical beer. Crazy. It boggles my mind how many people still regularly go to bars/pubs and drink here. I think most of them have some serious credit card debt.

Woke up at about 4am. On the gin and diet tonic this morning. Seeing the doctor tomorrow who wil no doubt give me a good telling off about my drinking.

Tell the doc they’ve gotta look on the bright side: at least you’re well hydrated! :D

Heh, I kid I kid.. you already know what the doc will say And why, much like many of my alcoholic friends who Know they’re likely to have alcohol related health problems and potentially die young from them.

Cheers. Doc said my liver function is unchanged and no mention of diabetes which I'm pretty relieved about.

On the gin and diet tonic this afternoon.

Do pubs still have carpets on the floors I can't remember

I remember going into some pubs in the olden days and your feet would stick to the carpets. They hadn't been decorated since before the war

They were also usually decorated with a fetching shade of "Dulux Nicotine Brown".

So good.

If you say there for long enough you'd end up the same colour

A far cry from what pubs look like now.

I can remember people ordering something called barley wine. I don't even think they'll sell such a thing in most pubs today. The kids would spit it out
