That's a gripe of mine really.

---

Unfortunately, I think it's sometimes routed in the misconception that being gay is an intense dislike and / or fear of the opposite sex.

I had a guy once rather inappropriately ask me 'who was the man that turned me gay' as if some man had crossed me and I'd declared him and his gender the enemy and that I was interested in women as a form of... coping? Rebellion? Misandry? :?

Such folks believe that they'll be the one to 'enlighten' a gay person.

I remember I rejected a guy once and he countered with "Well actually, I think you're bisexual" as if we were having a vote.

That is hilarious.

I’d find such comments extremely frustrating. I had someone claim once that I was pansexual/gender-blind because I had bad experiences with men which is absurd. I had female crushes when I was young. Correlation does not equal causation. I think the guy was worried that I’d find him inadequate or something even though I’m strictly monogamous.

Oh this has happened to me. It was back in the early 90s and he was my next-door neighbour and he was living with an old school friend of mine and they had a child or maybe two.

He said I should have sex with him because everyone thought I was a lesbian and I needed to prove them wrong.

Yeah right!

Why do some heterosexual women fancy homosexual men.
Perhaps they've had some bad experiences with guys & want to avoid straight guys using them for sex :? I'm thinking of something like this

Yeah because when I used to frequent gay bars many years ago they were always full of groups of single heterosexual women.

I always used to wonder to myself if they went there because they felt safer in a gay bar than they would in a pub full of heterosexual men.

It's a complete fallacy of course.

Sorry I can't watch your video atm

What's dancing all about

Is it some kind of primal mating ritual

^Probably. It'd be interesting to see what percentages of men who consider themselves unlucky in love are also bad/reluctant dancers.

Hahaha...I don't know how well that would go down in the local weatherspoons

Seriously though I think dance classes could be the ideal place to meet people of the opposite sex.

That's a good point.

Dancing is a good skill to have.

I remember relatively recently on a night out late last year, I had some woman approach me on the dance floor and took my hand for a dance and I had no idea how to dance so kind of walked off annoyed with myself and a bit embarrassed.

I rarely go out to clubs and such, but dancing is definitely something that can be an advantage in those places.

No. Everyone can nag.

Mansplaining is something else.
