I think great looking is more like a judgment of how a person looks at a given time. Like "You're looking great, were you on holiday last week"? Whereas good looking is more a judgment of physical attractiveness.

I agree, to me great looking sounds like it should be followed by a clause, ie great looking for someone who's 93 and just had chemo, or great looking for someone who works 70 hour weeks.

Yeah or great looking seeing as how you've just gave birth to triplets and you've not slept for the last 5 weeks.

Why the interest in what people consider good/great looking? Are you working on changing your appearance and want to see what's popular? I noticed you had another thread asking for opinions on someone's appearance as well
