What a lovely story, I am sorry that he died but it sounds like he trusted and loved you. Was he a fledgling when he came to you? Jackdaws are such funny little birds. I've had jackdaws that I would give monkey nuts on my walks, fly over me and drop empty shells before me to let me know they want more
