I remember my cousin was debating with his friend about how he thought he was attractive to girls.

His friend disagreed with him slightly saying "Well has a girl ever come up to you and said your good looking?"

Do you my cousins friend was trying to give him a reality check by that comment?

It's off-putting when people brag about that stuff. He was probably trying to get him to knock it off.

Is there some truth though to the part where he said about a girl saying he's good looking to his face?

No. Most of the time women don't go around telling random people they are good-looking. I never have.

Women usually use less direct means of signalling they like a dude's looks, versus than telling them directly.

Autistic women might sometimes be an exception.

Give me an example of a less direct means?

I might tell someone they're looking well and ask them have they been working out or something like that.

I can't remember directly telling a man they are good looking.

I'm too shy to tell men that I think they are attractive.

It depends on the context & situation. If you are in a bar or a pub, and a woman let's say, asks you to hold her hand whilst she takes a shot of alcohol, you'll know she probably likes you at least a little.

Or they might dance close to you, getting their ass in your crotch space in a club, for example.

And usually in such situations, being physically attractive to someone is a factor in having fun with someone.

A lot can happen in 4-5 years. People can change their minds.

Living in the past can be a symptom of depression.

Try not to get hung up on people who don't care about you.
