I remember a short guy tried to attack me once. Whilst he was throwing punches I picked him up. He claimed that was emasculating and complained but I'm not sure how else I could have handled the situation. I'd already told him I didn't want to fight.

There are weak points on the human body, but I know when to pick my battles and running is usually the safest bet. Sometimes if someone's fighting stance is unbalanced you can knock them off-centre. Good if you need to buy time to escape but your results may vary.

I believe my grandad was an average sort of height. He was a good fighter largely because of his condition. Since he didn't feel pain, he got up quickly. The downside was that he didn't always recognise that he was hurt. However, he learnt to be hypervigilant and often checked his vitals. Sometimes he'd ask what pain feels like and we never knew what to tell him.

My friend who is 6'7 simply has to stand up and guys start running in fear. He's actually a fairly passive guy but he's understandably intimidating. Yet he's always polite because he knows no one will mess with him.

Met a guy last weekend who claimed to be 6ft9 and he seemed friendly and polite as well

True. Autism should not be a free pass to act like an abusive a$$hole

Because they don't want to be all couped up in their own little countries.

When I was 17 there was a woman I really fancied in a college class. After a lesson I talked to her and while we both walked she went into the girls toilet/restroom.

What?

You dwell in the past too much, J.

The past influences the present though

Not to the extent you think about super specific detailed micro events that happened sometimes decades ago.

Probably no one else involved even remembers one thing about that whole day, never mind the tiny specific detail you bring up.

Further, we don’t live in the past or future.. only the present moment, ever. No sense in wasting the present thinking about the past or daydreaming about the future too much. Then you won’t do anything in the here and now; the only time that ever exists.
