An honest mistake

Lately I have been running into someone who rides his bike. I thought that he was a guy who I used to be acquainted with for a while.

So I kept calling him person S.

He stopped by the bus shelter today and confronted me. “Hi, why do you always call me person S?”

So I explained the situation and he firmly said, Person A,” and then moved on.
