Thrown into a panic

I didn't reply to the text and I'm not going with them. I can't face a chess game of trying to work out what to say and deciphering what all their hidden meanings are and also somehow enjoy myself. I am bound to put my foot in it and offend these ladies, I always do.

I haven't socialised in years, I rarely leave the house so I can't deal with humans anymore.

Well maybe they are trying to reach out and give you another chance but if they hurt you in the past then it's probably not worth it. Has this specific group done a set up in the past so they could pick on you?

One of each. The lady who texted me is very nice and has helped me in the past. The one who is also there used to be nice, then started saying weird things to me (see my examples above). I realised I must have offended her but I have no idea why or when or how to put things right. And 3 is a crowd for sure. In the past, 2 have ganged up on me for some reason I didn't understand.

Anyway, I just didn't answer and pretended I didn't get the text. The last I heard of these people was one year ago and I can't remember the last time I saw them in person.
