Has anyone ever been to a singles night at a bar?

What did you think of it?

If you've not been to one and you had the opportunity to, would you?

I've been to a couple. They reminded me a bit of the school disco. I'd go to one again but only for a laugh.

About the only way I would have gone is if a friend would have insisted on bringing me & I woulda been very reluctant to go. I woulda had extremely low expectations for actually getting a date or meeting a new friend. I never been much of a drinker & I probably would fall asleep instead of getting drunk. I was mostly straight-edge for years after me & my first girlfriend broke up because she had problems with alcohol & drugs. Plus I don't make great first impressions, especially in situations that involve lots of people & small-talk chitchat.

I wouldn’t go. It would just be incredibly awkward.

She’s away. She said that she might come back in the new year.

Thanks TP. She had already become part of my daily routine in regards to joking around and answering/asking questions. I would have worried if you hadn’t told me.
