Autistic? Yay or nay? Reasons welcome.

She was a famous authour and yes she was autistic.

Being fictional, the answer has to be "no".

Sheldon Leonard's girlfriend in the Big Bang Theory. Played by Malayam Bialik.

If he is an "aspie" and all his buddies are (as many TV fans commonly suppose) then she probably is too.

Fictional characters can have any condition that the creators want them to have.

I doubt she was played by someone who really is on the spectrum, which always seems to be the case.

I wouldn't know because I was never a fan of The Big Bang Theory.

She is played by Malayam Bialik who played "Blossom" back in the day. And who briefly hosted Jeopardy in the current post Alex Trebek era. She is the only cast member of the BBT who really IS a brainiac and really is a scientist. But I doubt that she really is on the spectrum ...as you said.

Is it canon that she's autistic? If not, even if she's somewhat coded as autistic it's hard to make a determination because we don't typically see enough of a character's life to really be certain. We can't know when they started to display certain traits/if those traits were acquired vs. organic, etc.

There's a lot of characters we might assume are autistic because there's some coding, but the creator never intended them to be autistic, merely an awkward dork.
