What thing humans are doing isn't destroying the planet these days? We're destroying it just by existing.

Maybe the almond growers should replace their sweet almonds used to make the milk with bitter almonds. It would solve the overpopulation problem fairly quickly.

Coffee bean and vanilla bean = deforestation + indentured labour.
iphones = child labour in underground mines

All our modern conveniences cost somebody else...

I always knew vegans were bad for the environment, and now there is proof :-)

What's to like about them? They are destroying the world, they are destroying each other, and they treat people like us like garbage. They believe in nonsense like the world being flat or that vaccines cause autism. Just look at how humans behaved during the covid pandemic, being horrible to other people just for wearing masks in public. If I could find a way to punish society for it's never-ending stupidity that wouldn't get me arrested, I'd do it  ... but then I'd be no better than they are. :(

^^^ I often wonder about the small things that activists do that they themselves contribute to the very thing they are campaigning against. Drinking coffee with almond milk, subsisting on plant based foods still costs the environment.

Like Al Gore advocating for lowering carbon emissions but having every light in his multistory mansion switched all night every night.

But I guess they can still smirk and say their lifestyle is less damaging.

I very rarely eat dairy products and haven't had milk in probably decades. I drink my coffee black no sugar. For breakfast cereal, I used to just use water, but for years now I blend up a cup of veg based protein shake, usually vanilla sometimes chocolate, and have that. I just finished a bowl, actually.

Almond milk tastes ok, but knowing how water intensive it is is a major reason not to bother with it. Hemp milk tastes okay, too. Or oat.

But I don't really think any of them are worth the price they charge for them. If for some reason I didn't have protein powder to blend up and pour over my cereal I'd just revert to plain filtered (out of the fridge dispenser) water.

I just have the black stuff...no milk or cereal.
