"Pizza in the morning. Pizza in the evening. Pizza at suppertime." The lyrics to an old advertisement for pizza bagel bites.

It sounds redundant. Suppertime is during the evening. It appears that they thought that evening was afternoon. How could an ad with such confusion be approved?

Ha ha, boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder.

You still remember the ad all these years later, so it achieved it's purpose.

For me supper has always been the meal after dinner, or what you would call dessert

I read it as
Pizza for breakfast, Pizza for dinner, Pizza for dessert.

The writers probably only had five minutes make up a song, and clearly did not notice or care about that oddity. They probably didn't even think that no matter how much people love pizza, most really don't want it at every meal, or would get tired of it.

That's the type of diet I want to be on.

"Pizza in the morning. Pizza in the evening. Pizza at suppertime. When pizza is on a bagel, you can have pizza anytime."

Apparently "in the afternoon" or "at lunchtime" wouldn't fit the meter.

I prefer pizza in the evenings like normal folk.

Pizza is the most nutritious thing that you can have for breakfast because it has the 4 major food groups.
