I think it's fine to start a new topic. It's better, in my opinion, than digging up a very old thread.

Perhaps the experience of using ring earplugs will change dramatically in five years.

Whether the thread is old or not is related to the topic to be discussed.I even saw someone talking about a political"news"from 200 years ago.But the fashionable clothes of three years ago are obviously out of date.
