I always had the impression that border collies came from Australia. Apparently not.

The most important breed for the advertising industry is golden retrievers because the puppies of that breed show up in commericals all of the time.

The puppy that used to sing "There aint no bugs on me...there may be bugs on some of you mugs...but there aint no bugs on meeee" is a golden. So Madison Avenue owes Scotland.

Great Danes are actually German in origin i heard on TV.
