Has anyone ever played this yet?

My boyfriend got me this game for Christmas and he let me opened it early because I had already guessed it so what was the point in waiting. I stayed up till 1:50 AM playing this game and got 11 stars. I made it to the second galaxy and finished the first one and got all the stars in that one.

I'm going to play it again when Benny & Joon ends.

Best thing in platforming since Jak and Daxter. I simply love this game, its soundtrack, game mechanics... Everything! Missing 35 stars anymore.

Still can't get a Wii where I live, so I can't play it. :(

Not sure if I'd like this. I wasn't a big fan of Mario 64, though I loved the 2D games.

oddity: i am with you on liking the 2d games and rather disliking mario64... however, my sister got super mario galaxy for her wii, so i had my share of playing it, too.
there still is the not-as-accurate-as-2d control, but this time, you get something that justifies it: this simple addition of walking around planets, head over heels, whatever direction... its really fun. its a bit weird in the beginning (not in a bad way, weird in a "huh? how fun! *giggles madly"-way

my sister has all the stars to reach the final galaxy already, but seems to take her time getting every star in every subsequent galaxy. (a nice addendum from the days of, like, super mario world for the snes - more levels than you need to complete the game) overall, the game is full of nice little addendums... whatever mario title you dig, at one point or other, theres a slight nod towards it.

I quite enjoyed 64 and Sunshine so I should enjoy Galaxy.

It sounds like Nintendo has created another classic game.

You know, I'm curious. How does it feel to not have a soul?

Super Mario Galaxy was just full of such pure unadulterated joy that I question the sanity of anyone that didn't enjoy it. I got all 120 stars and loved every minute of it.

MY brother got the game for Christmas. He has 115 stars at the moment. I'm on 92 I think.

Moving in 3D mode and having to collect stars at the same time is too complicated for me  . I prefer Paper Mario.

I think this is the best Mario game I've played.
